Jeremiah 29:11 says,” For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This verse has become my life verse. It has kept my focus on Christ and not on the situations at hand.
Meet Pastor Jason
Pastor Jason Thomas has served as Senior Pastor of Victory Christian Center since December 2018. Originally from the St. Louis, Missouri area, Pastor Jason and his wife, Angie, followed God’s call to Phillips, Wisconsin, where they have developed a deep love for the church and the Price County community.

Jason and Angie were married in 1998 and have two sons. Together, they share a passion for family, ministry, and seeing people discover the life-changing hope found in Jesus Christ.
​
Before coming to Victory Christian Center, Pastor Jason worked in the construction industry while also serving in ministry. From 2010 to 2018, he served as Youth Pastor at Christ Centered Church in Troy, Missouri. Those years helped shape his passion for discipleship, practical biblical teaching, and helping people grow into the men and women God has called them to be.

Since coming to Phillips, Pastor Jason’s ministry has extended well beyond the walls of Victory Christian Center. In addition to serving as Senior Pastor, he has served as a chaplain at the Price County Jail since 2018 and is involved in law enforcement chaplaincy. He has also served in leadership with the Phillips Area Clergy Association (PACA), working alongside other area pastors and churches to serve the greater Phillips community.

In 2022, God placed a burden on Pastor Jason’s heart to see a Christ-centered residential recovery ministry established for men struggling with addiction. He brought that vision to other local pastors, and after much prayer and planning, His House of Hope was formed in 2023. Today, Pastor Jason serves as Chairman of the Board of His House of Hope, where his prayer is that every man who comes through the program will find hope, faith, sobriety, and identity through Jesus Christ.

At the heart of Pastor Jason’s ministry is a desire to see people do more than simply attend church. He wants people to know Jesus personally, grow as disciples, discover their God-given purpose, and become active participants in building the Kingdom of God.
​
Outside of ministry, Pastor Jason enjoys spending time outdoors, especially waterfowl hunting and fishing. He and Angie also love traveling and exploring new places together. Whether they are on the road, outdoors, spending time with family, or serving their community, they enjoy experiencing life together.
​
One of Pastor Jason’s favorite passages is Jeremiah 29:11, a reminder that God has a purpose and a future for every life. That truth reflects much of his heart for ministry: no matter where someone has been or what they have walked through, God is not finished with their story.
